For little Tom, art became a refuge away from a father who was anything but gentle. When Tom’s mother introduced him to her favorite artists and bought him a guitar, music became his safe place. Young Tom taught himself to write and play music about a place he could feel free. He formed his first band in middle school, and never looked back.
Music allowed Tom to dream of a world beyond the life he was trapped in— “somewhere among the wildflowers.”

The Gentle Boys Collection features childlike depictions of classic artists in old school film and polaroid format, captioned with the nicknames of their youth.
