Bridget Barkan

July 17, 24, &31

7-8pm est

Bridget is a teaching artist with Carnegie Hall's Music Connections.

She has worked as a multidisciplinary artist as well as a Songwriting Coach and Vocal Coach with musicians of all ages.

Her passion is sharing the art form of songwriting with children. She has worked with The Lullaby Project writing songs with mothers for their children in homeless shelters, prisons and high schools, and has led songwriting workshops with incarcerated youth in detention centers in Brooklyn and the Bronx.

Bridget’s love of children and living in the magic of imagination led her to work at the Central Park Early Learning Center, a school for children with autism and special needs where she developed a music therapy curriculum.

With an intuitive creative approach, Bridget brings her compassion and inner belief in the power of transformation to every song she writes. Music is healing and she wants to continue to share this medicine.

So you want to be a songbird?

So you want to be a songbird?

I’LL TELL YOU A SECRET—

YOU ALREADY ARE ONE.

A songbird is someone who feels the rhythm of the world through music and uses lyrics to communicate.

David Bowie, Joni Mitchell, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Stevie Wonder, Kurt Cobain…

Every legend in music was once just a child with big dreams and an unwritten song.

Finding your own voice and exploring the music within you requires bravery and soul.

Are you ready to be brave

little one?
