On this Scorpio Harvest Moon
When Neil Percival Young only 5 years old, he battled Polio and it nearly took his life. When he returned home from the hospital, he had to learn how to walk all over again.
By the age of 10, Neil wanted to become a musician. He saved the money he made from a paper route and selling eggs and bought a plastic ukulele that changed the course of his life.
Neil formed many bands throughout his teens years before performing solo in Toronto coffee houses with a unique style between folk and grunge rock.
In 1966 he moved to Los Angeles to join the band Buffalo Springfield. Shortly after, he became the “Young” in Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.
In 1992, Neil released his best selling hit since the 1970’s— Harvest Moon.
As a self-taught electrical engineer, he invented a new switching system for model trains.
Passionate about sustainability, he has dedicated much of his life to developing auto-mobiles that would not be dependent on fossil fuels.
Neil Young is one of the best Canadian-American musicians, singer song-
writers and filmmakers of all time.
He is one of my favorite musicians and Scorpios.
Neil has always used his music and fame to promote anti-war efforts, environmental causes and disability rights.
Celebrate this artist with the Young Neil tee from the Gentle Boys Collection.
“I wrote a lot of songs when I couldn't talk.”
