Chuckles and Bleu exists to encourage younger generations to find their own voice through the exploration of music. Music is universal and contagious. Through storytelling and shared human experience, songs have the power to unite us and inspire progress.
Throughout history, artists have used music as a catalyst for social movements. Nina Simone turned her songs into battle cries for the civil rights movement, confronting violence and oppression in the segregated South with lyrics that told hard truths in a way people could hear and understand.
Helen Reddy’s I Am Woman became an anthem for second-wave feminism. Dolly Parton championed education for all children and gender equality in the workplace. John Lennon and Yoko Ono sang for peace. Patti Smith called attention to environmental preservation, and Neil Young protested war.

Chuckles and Bleu began as an idea that danced around the right side of my brain for years— always to the beat of Dreaming by Blondie.
When my daughter took an interest in music at the age of six, I followed her example, and returned to the art form I loved as a child — songwriting.
This is a passion project for my lady rocker, Chuckles, and my gentle boy, Bleu. Each design was sketched at my kitchen table with a baby on my lap, to the tunes my daughter strums on her guitar — like ZOMBIE by The Cranberries.
